GM Recalls

Where is my VIN located?

  • Your VIN is unique to every vehicle that is manufactured. It contains 17 alphanumeric characters. It can be found on your vehicle registration, vehicle insurance or on the vehicle itself. It will either be on the driver's side dashboard at the bottom of the windshield or on the driver's side doorjamb. Your VIN will not include the following letters: 'i', or 'o'. However, it may contain a '1' or '0'.

After I submit my VIN, what happens next?

  • Your information will then be sent to our Certified Service Department. From there, we will verify if your vehicle is a part of recent or past recalls. Within 24 business hours, one of our advisors from the service department will contact you via email to let you know if your vehicle is a part of the recall. If it is, then we can set up your service appointment in order for you to bring in your vehicle. Even if your vehicle is not a part of the recall, we can still book your service appointment to fulfill your other service needs.

What if I still have questions?

  • Please feel free to contact our Certified Service Department. Or, if you would just to schedule a service appointment, you can do so here. In any matter, we look forward to providing any and all of your service needs at Bannister Cadillac Buick GMC Ltd.
